How to enable allow ssh remote login on apple imac 

The ssh protocol (also referred to as Secure Shell) is a method for secure remote login from one computer to another. ssh works on port 22. 

To enable,  allow ssh on apple iMac pc desktop laptop click on mac "System Preferences" 


then click on "Sharing"

click on "Remote login"



This will allow you to access this desktop laptop using the ip address or FQDM, host name specified here..

ssh login example command:- ssh -X userid@hostname  

We can also change your mac's host name using "edit" option as shown here on this  snapshot "Computer Name".
